How much time/effort is required to maintain my garden?

10 min/day with 4 bags setup. Must love plants!

What size are the bags?

We offer two configurations: - 2 sqft (2x1) - 4sqft (2x2)

Is this system going to ruin my roof? Will there be infiltrations due to stagnant water in the bags?

The total weight of each bag when fully wet (60lbs) will only consist of 20% of the roof baring weight.

How can I avoid rodents, birds or animal in general getting to my food?

When located on rooftops we have not see rodent climbing to it, unless there is a clear easy path for those animals. Birds don't like greens too much and we have an easy, fun, old school method to scare them away.

Can I grow anything I want? Will the salty air coming from the ocean have an effect on my crops?

You can grow anything within the so-called zone 10-B (Southern California). The salt water has not impacted our produce.

Is there a minimum number of bags I need to order?

We recommend no less than 4 grow bags to get you started.
